Cynthia Sargent is a 17-year career educator, passionate about teaching and learning - and all things science! Cynthia taught a variety of science courses for 12 years at Yuba City High School. She then spent a few very fun years in private industry as a curriculum designer and professional development provider for a science education technology company. For the past two years, Cynthia was the STEM Professional Development Coordinator for Sutter County Superintendent of Schools; this website features many resources she developed or curated during that time. Cynthia is thrilled to be returning to a classroom of her "own" students, teaching 7th and 8th Grade Integrated Science, while continuing to work closely with other teachers and students to support NGSS implementation.
Cynthia holds a B.S. degree in Biology, a Single-Subject teaching credential for CA, a M.S. degree in Instructional Design and Technology, and is a Google Certified Educator.
